I'm on a big salad kick lately. 95% fat free ham, cubed low fat cheese, chic peas, pine nuts, and sunflower seed hearts with fat free ranch. I absolutely love it.

I'm also on a Peanut Butter kick. I have a tablespoon of it for a little snack sometimes.

Too numerous to list! Luv a new recipe for Mushroom Sage chicken. Made it 3x this past month and it tastes even better the next day. I think I'm addicted to the Pinterest recipes site!

It's a funny choice for me since before my favorite food was anything that was baked and full of sugar Now it's mashed potatoes??

Love seafood too. chicken, black Beans and brown rice all mixed together! I still eat tacos too, now I just throw the shell away and make it chicken. If you can't change it up, don't go there. Just avoid it for a while. I found that in the beginning or even now if I go to a new restaurant I ask for a nutritional menu. Once you read through it, you will really change your selections! It is eye opening. I now special order almost everything I eat out. You can make it better for you and still enjoy it!

You can do it!

Another Florida girl who loves her seafood, grouper, mahi, shrimp & scallops my favorite.

Love all vegetables. Since banding Black Beans in everything. Keylime Greek yogurt, cottage cheese.

I think it would be easier to tell you what I don't like, if I can think of something. Salmon, I don't like salmon!

Since being banded I have learned to love fish. Publix has flavored catfish sometimes- cajun or lemmon pepper. When they don't have that I get plain catfish and put old bay on it- I just cook it up in a pan on the stove with olive oil spray.

Another Florida girl here! I love Grouper and Mahi, hate tuna and salmon! I love that I can go out to eat anywhere and find good fish and shrimp!

Went to our outdoor pool today, they started heating it for the winter. The sun was out and it is a beautiful 75 degrees! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
