Had A Fill Yesterday And Scared To Eat

Recommended Posts

I think I'm up to either 5.85 or 6cc's I've lost track and forgot to ask. This morning had Cereal, got that down, was scared to eat an egg. For lunch my mom cooked salmon patties, delish but a little on the dry side and I almost got stuck but got it down so I asked her later in the day to make or show me how to make a cheese sauce and we did and for dinner I ate a small pc of quiche which went down ok. I'm scared about chicken which I was able to eat before, of course tiny bites and fish. Got to test the waters again now. Up for the challenge tho. I had lost 8 lbs in a month since I had been in last and got up this morning and had lost 2 more lbs, totalling 45. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever have thought I could do this.

i was told liquid to mushie as well. It is a ls good to do to keep your mind on track as well as your stomach. Be careful but from your post I dont see a reason to be scared. Sounds like you are doiing ok. Just remember the smaller the pieces the longer you chew and the slowest you eat your meal the easier it will be.

Good lucky!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
