Egg Timer Distraction Document - Thank You!!!

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to thank all my "Bandster Buddies" that have e-mailed me over the past few days asking me for the "Egg Timer Distraction Document"... in total I have received 22 requests... WOW... I think that's GREAT.

I wanted to let everyone know that I just heard back from 3 more people who also tried the "trick" and they also had wonderful results in a month... 9 lbs.... 11 lbs... and 12 lbs. I think over the past 6 years I bet over 100 have had results with this "trick".

This is why I love this community so much because we are able to help each other. I've also heard back from a few people that I sent my recipe CD to and the Joe Cross DVD. (**Joe Cross) One person is now is preparing her meals on Sunday for the week... in muffin tins !!!

I'm 6 years out but I still need motivation now and then that's why I host my monthly lapband coffee groups and that's why I contribute to this forum.

Thanks again for the wonderful feedback.

If you want to watch an inspiring short documentary "Google" Joe Cross - "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead"... now I know the title is a little unsettling but it's a great documentary for anyone that has ever tried to lose weight.

I am very curious about the egg timer document. I am 3 years out and struggle with motivation. I started gaining again and I have arrested it but it got scary. I would love that document. Are you able to attach it so you don't have to keep sending it out individually? If not, I am at Boubamin@gmail.com.

Thank you Tom.

I see that you are in Toronto. Does your support group still meet?

Thanks,

Lisa

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
