...am I filled too tight?

Yesterday, I went from a 5.5cc fill to 6.8 (it's a 9cc band). Today, I can drink Water (slowly), but have to be very careful with coffee/milky drinks.< /p>

I appreciate it's maybe too early to tell, but if I can't keep down a slimfast shake, then maybe I'm filled too tightly?

Your thoughts/opinions/abuse are much appreciated.:)

Thanks!

WOW I only have 1.8cc and just brought my Breakfast back up.

I would call the doctors office today and let them know. Just drink your liquids slow, try hot tea. Hot tea usually loosens things up slightly. Also, it sounds like you need to eat Soup for a day or two unless you want to test it. Today is Tuesday I would not let the weekend go by if it has not loosened before Friday. I would be getting some taken out on Thurs or Fri.

The positive side is you will loose some more weight. Good Luck:D

I agree, it's probably worth giving it another day or two on liquids. Some people react to fills by swelling (others react by opening up), and you really need to give it a week or so to really assess where you are. Just take it really really slow, and be sure to drink plenty of Water. You won't starve, you know that, and perhaps when the swelling goes down you'll be perfect!!

Thank you Therasa and Alexandra for your help.

Its two days after my fill, and I can now easily accomodate larger sips of Fluid, so, the swelling must have gone down.

Looks like I'll have a good level of restriction, after all. ;)

Once again thanks.

i wouldn't go for unfill .. i think arround 6 cc is the "sweet spot" for the 9cc band. you will lose much weight now.. i guess you re glad

with your restriction now! (cause your post is many days old).

i was with 4 cc on 11 cc band from August till .. end of March...

and now on 6 cc i think band works better..your way is only a downhill!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
