DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted November 7, 2012 It doesn't look infected but rather like a bad reaction to the adhesive on your skin. It's good you called your doctor, though. Always better safe than sorry.
Krussell19 217 Posted November 7, 2012 I finally got so annoyed with it after like 4 days that I picked them off and rinsed my skin and instantly felt better.
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted November 7, 2012 I think Missy is right. I had same thing from bandages.
sarawray 44 Posted November 7, 2012 yes, that is probley what it is, an allergic reaction. I had that and they were taken off and the dr said not to use anything like neosporin, just let them get air. It clears up pretty quick. But you still should ask your dr. kassie2012 7 Posted November 7, 2012 could you be allergic to something in the dressing? i had red square marks where my dressings had been for two months after op! well weird lol
amcolling 4 Posted November 7, 2012 I had the same thing. A really bad reaction to the adhesive and steri strips. Wash with soap and Water and use witch hazel - just pour it over the incisions. It helps with the itching and it's a natural astringent.
