Depending on what type of diet your Dr has you on post up.... I would bring those supplies. Its usually clear liquid for the first week but check with his staff. I would also bring Maalox for gas after surgery, pain meds which your Dr prescribed and any other personal items you would normally pack for a trip... make sure you bring comfortable clothes and shoes. As for the hospital... I brought my husband and he carried my identification. The hospital had everything else I needed... Water, socks etc.
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted November 6, 2012 Bring a positive attitude and a support person. The rest can be taken care of once you are there. You might want to bring some Clear Liquids if you want things other than plain water... I used Crystal light sticks in the Water for variety!
Courtnin 86 Posted November 6, 2012 Thank you all! I wouldn't of ever thought to bring a heating pad! Or Chapstick! I am very blessed to have my parents supporting me with this journey and to have both of them come with me. I'm really looking forward to the healing and a new start. I think for the most part I will just stick with Water and chicken broth, I'm usually a big Water drinker. Although I was wondering has the temperature of the fluids affected anyone? Should it be room temp? Or is cold water ok? Thanks again, everyone! Cheers, Courtney
