destynee1 417 Posted November 6, 2012 hey Ms Rhonda!! you keep on with that determined attitude.. we all felt this way.. I know I did! .. all of a sudden it felt like.. omg it's time already!!! I was eating everything I thought I'd never be able to eat again.. ( mostly ) lol.. then i was like.. ughhh food. well the liquid diet is hard.. the first 3 days are the hardest.. it does get easier. Stay to it, because your surgery depends on it, some people are told to do different things as you may read on the forums , do what your Dr says for you to do. What got me through was propel zero.. i do love them, Protein shakes.. i drank the whey chocolate from costco.. and at night I would have a cream Soup. that tend to help me a lot.. felt like something was actually going in my tummy. I am a lil over 2 weeks post op and within 3 weeks i had lost about 27 lbs. from the liquid diet.. it is fun to see the weight drop.. Just remember.. this will all be worth it! You'll do great! message me anytime if you need anything.. I am pretty newbie still also.. but these forums are GREAT for info.. and the people are wonderful. Good LUCK!! ~Kayna 1 kah1213 reacted to this

FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted November 6, 2012 The band will require you to do a complete reassesment of what you have been eating. Granted you can continue to eat sugary, fried and high calorie foods just a smaller portion of them but you will not lose weight without keeping your calories down. I ate 1000 calories per day for 23 months and lost 215 lbs. I now eat 1200 or so and am doing well to keep it off. The liquid diet is hell the first few days... But by day 4 I had found my groove and was able to complete the 2 weeks without cheating because I was scared to death I would have complications in surgery if I didn't stick to it. After surgery I had 2 more weeks of liquid then a week of mushies... So it was 5 weeks before I could eat real food again. It was just about the hardest thing I have ever done and that includes childbirth. Lol But when it all said and done...it was a great kick start to my loss and I learned I do not need to eat to survive. I just need to get the proper nutrition. FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted November 6, 2012 Ok what about the flabby skin thats my scarry concern Many factors dictate if you will have flabby skin. The amount you need to lose, our age, the speed in which you lose are the big factors. Some younger gals say exercise will help. For older ones it may or may not. No one knows what condition their skin will be in once you lose... It's just a chance we take.
