Joy1961 134 Posted November 5, 2012 Oh my they are good! Just had chocolate splendor. I did mix with milk though. Thats prob why it was so good. What do you all mix it with when you have to be on liquids?
honk 780 Posted November 5, 2012 I was allowed fat free milk. Adds 90 cals; but also about 9 g Protein.< /p>
Jean McMillan 2,973 Posted November 5, 2012 Depends on whether you're on Clear Liquids or "full" liquids. I wasn't allowed skim milk when I was on Clear Liquids, but I was allowed Unjury's chicken Soup flavor, which is very good mixed with warm (not boiling) Water (the powder tends to clump up if the water's too hot). I've never mixed unjury chocolate flavors with Water, just skim milk or unsweetened almond milk. Unjury also has a strawberry flavor that I didn't like mixed with water or milk. waterchick 35 Posted November 5, 2012 My doc considered the Unjury chicken Soup a clear liquid. Was awesome to have something warm to drink on my pre op diet.
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted November 6, 2012 A agree... chicken Soup and the shakes are fab. I did not care for the strawberry either, but many people do like it. I mix with sugar free almond milk. More body and less carbs than skim milk.
okiekatt 40 Posted November 6, 2012 I mix the vanilla with coffee in the mornings the warmth helps loosen the band for lunch, a little pick me up, plus helps moves things through the system a little faster, I did talk to my Doc yesterday and he suggested to switch to Decaf because I am not real faithful at getting my daily Water intake, reason being for every cup of caffine we drink (tea included) we pee 1 1/2 cups. And causing slight dehydration will make the stoma swell which means more stuck episodes and ER visits for IV's
