mzyunique1 18 Posted November 5, 2012 I was banded on the 31st, I took my prescribed medicine on 11/2 and crushed it like it was recommended. Then on 11/3 and 11/4 I decided to take it regular just to see how it would make me feel since it's not a huge pill (size of a capsule aspirin) Is it ok to keep taking in regular form since it goes down without a problem?? DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted November 5, 2012 Unless you were told otherwise by your doctor, yes it's fine. I take all my pills (one is rather big even) with no problem and have since surgery. Just be very cautious after a fill when your band is tighter. 1 Maddysgram reacted to this

Maddysgram 6,159 Posted November 5, 2012 I take mine whole, but after fill will probably break it up for awhile & see how it goes.
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted November 5, 2012 my Dr said I could take anything up to the size of a regular asprin. You may want to ask yours what his rule of thumb is.
Tomander 614 Posted November 5, 2012 I only had to crush my pills for 2 days following my surgery. I've had not issues taking pills... even large antibiotics. Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. Loss: 156 lbs tomander@bell.net
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted November 5, 2012 I take my pills whole, but one at a time on the large ones. Check with your doctor, nurse, or dietician and get their advice too. It is what you paid them for!
