So I haven't gone to the bathroom in 7 days...3 pre-op and 4 post-op...should I be worried?

I've taken laxative for the last 3 days, but nothing is happening. I'm starting to get worried.

Even when I was on liquid pre-op diet, I was going every 2-3 days.

I have tried almost everything I went 8 days before last night I tried a tea called chiro kleenz. We sell it at the clinic I work at but I know Amazon sells it too. It worked in just a couple hours

Milk of Mag worked for me after surgery, I gave it 5 days after surgery before I took this step as, like you, I was pretty regular before the surgery, even being on a liquid diet and I feel like crap (no pun intended, lol) if I don't go.

I feel completely nauseous every day, and I think this is the cause of it. I'm going out tonight to see if I can find the MOM.

liquids in means nothing solid to come out - simple. Have patience, unless you are straining and in pain. Add plenty of stewed, strained fruits and that will help.

My doc sad to not let it get past 3 days. I used glycerin suppositories. They stimulate a different zone if you get my drift. Worked within 20 min and they are cheap.

Take one Senacot, you will go within 10 hours. It is natural and effective. You will need to add a powder Fiber to your drinks no as you do not get near the fiber you used to. All the Protein we get does not give us any fiber. You do not want to have to resort to suppositories. I had to once and that was enough. Being constipated is no fun.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
