Jackie07 5 Posted October 31, 2012 I have a question for all of you post op people. I am really having a hard time with this pre op diet. And I feel lousy.. Do you feel better after surgery??
jen_1381 446 Posted October 31, 2012 Hi Jackie. I'm about 5 1/2 moths post op. The preop diet does get easier. By day 5 I was doing fine. It became my own personal challenge and really made me test my will power. Postop was actually okay! The first week you're in this intense healing mode and food was hardly on my mind. I did two weeks of liquids and didn't feel hungry until the last couple days. 1 ♕ajtexas♕ reacted to this
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted October 31, 2012 do i feel better? yes. i am down nearly 80 pounds and i am more mobile then i have been in 2+ years. i have dropped 8 pant sizes and i am def more positive and outgoing and feeling like a million bucks. so yeah i feel better and me doing the pre op (and following my doctors orders) have helped me start my journey of getting well. its hard yes but would you rather stay where you are at weight wise? make that decision and go for it...and make it count....dont cheat yourself. 1 ♕ajtexas♕ reacted to this
TKW 501 Posted October 31, 2012 Don't know when the last time is I've felt this good. I'm 49 years old and along with my weight loss I have also lost EVERY ache and pain. I, seriously... have none. And I have tons of energy. I just feel Amazing. The first couple of months after surgery i was exhausted. It really took me a while to get any sort of energy back. I think when I started exercising is when I started regaining some energy. Hang in there... it is soooooo worth it! 1 ♕ajtexas♕ reacted to this
♕ajtexas♕ 3,771 Posted October 31, 2012 I feel so good I could dance on the rooftop! I'm off all high blood pressure meds, no longer pre-diabetic, down 5 dress sizes and 68 lbs. I walk the stairs in my office (on the 8th floor) everyday, all day. Yes, it gets better post op. It gets great! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
