My pics are real. I didn't take a pic of myself before surgery and the only one I found was the day we got our JD tractor, so that is me riding it. The other is 50 lbs down. Note I'm wearing black, slimming color.

one of my skills as an overweight person is photo manipulation. No I don't photoshop my pictures but I normally only post pictures of my head and still people usually can tell I am overweight. I am dreaming of the day that I feel comfortable enough to post full bodied pictures of myself.

Well I can say that most of the pics I have tried to upload will not. I dont like my body right now even though I am 179 I have an apron and I dont like it and don't want to show it off. Even with a long shirt on I hate taking pics. I think its everyones decision what pics they want to put on their profile and what they don't. Just like you have a dog I'm not comfortable with. Why are you afraid to put your own pic on their too.

Why, oh why are you uncomfortable with my puppy?

Post your pic!!!! We are all different! Started at different weights and are all differents sizes. Never compare yourself to others. This is your journey. We are all here to support each other, not compare. I personally have always had a round chubby face and prob always will. But that is me. Plus pictures are great to look back on and see how far you have come. Hope this helps and I like seeing everyones smiling face in there pictures.soooo post post post :)

I guess my picture of my puppy is two things 1. She's so darned beautiful, she is my life and I want to show her off.

2. Its my way of hiding my face and body. Precisely to because I don't want someone seeing the unsuccess I might be having, or the slowness.

3. I'd rather see my dog's face than mine when I scroll down messages.

BUT, in honor of the newness of self I am feeling, I will post a pic of me. Was hard to find one as everyone knows not to take pictures of me. But here goes...

Yay! I'm proud of you! I know that took a lot of courage because I'm the same way as you. I feel more comfortable posting pics here with my homies because y'all kno where I'm coming from.

Here's a pic of me and my Mom, before she passed away from breast cancer a year ago. Mom always wanted me to be thin, I intend to make her proud...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
