sleepyjean 0 Posted April 2, 2006 I've given up wearing lipgloss because with all the Water I'm drinking, it wears off really fast. This stinks because my lips tend to be dry and plus I like my lip gloss. I thought about using a straw to drink, but we're not supposed to do that because of the air that gets swallowed. Has anyone come up with a way to do this without reapplying 500 times a day?
NJChick 3 Posted April 2, 2006 Revlon makes a lipstick thats supposed to stay on even while eating. You might want to check out their lipgloss as well. http://www.revlon.com/product.asp?productid=28390&mode=catalog I also remember seeing something on QVC about a lipstick that doesn't wear off. StrawartS 2 Posted April 2, 2006 Don't rule out the straw until you've tried it. There are about a million and one bandster rules, and you'll find out that only some apply to you.
Hedwig 0 Posted April 3, 2006 I put on lipliner and fill my lips with the liner. then the lipstick then the gloss. If you want it to stay on all day you have to skip the gloss part and pat your lips with press powder after you apply the liner and stick:eek: . I know, not fun but it stays on most of the day. also drinking from a bottle and only putting your bottom lip helps. yes. I might have put a little to much thought into my lipstick/gloss:o . I go to school for hair and makeup so that is why I try to always keep my lipstick on. the director requires it. weird. I know. hope I helped
S@ssen@ch 745 Posted April 3, 2006 I'm with Hedwig. My lipstick always lasts longer if I use a liner, both as a liner and a filler first. It may not last all the way to lunchtime, but it's better than having to re-apply every 10 minutes. Studies have shown that the dryer the lipstick, the longer it stays. Maybe it's because you're using a gloss. just a thought.
vinesqueen 2 Posted April 3, 2006 I use a straw all the time and I never swallow extra air with one. Ever. If you prefer using a straw, go ahead and use one! But I don't have any advice about lipgloss, sorry
