Question for those who wear makeup

Recommended Posts

I've given up wearing lipgloss because with all the Water I'm drinking, it wears off really fast. This stinks because my lips tend to be dry and plus I like my lip gloss. I thought about using a straw to drink, but we're not supposed to do that because of the air that gets swallowed. Has anyone come up with a way to do this without reapplying 500 times a day?

Don't rule out the straw until you've tried it. There are about a million and one bandster rules, and you'll find out that only some apply to you.

I put on lipliner and fill my lips with the liner. then the lipstick then the gloss. If you want it to stay on all day you have to skip the gloss part and pat your lips with press powder after you apply the liner and stick:eek: . I know, not fun but it stays on most of the day. also drinking from a bottle and only putting your bottom lip helps. yes. I might have put a little to much thought into my lipstick/gloss:o . I go to school for hair and makeup so that is why I try to always keep my lipstick on. the director requires it. weird. I know. hope I helped

I'm with Hedwig. My lipstick always lasts longer if I use a liner, both as a liner and a filler first. It may not last all the way to lunchtime, but it's better than having to re-apply every 10 minutes. ;)

Studies have shown that the dryer the lipstick, the longer it stays. Maybe it's because you're using a gloss. just a thought.

I use a straw all the time and I never swallow extra air with one. Ever.

If you prefer using a straw, go ahead and use one!

But I don't have any advice about lipgloss, sorry

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
