Totally gross, I know, but what does vomiting do to the band? Any advice?

If you get the virus and start vomiting, it can cause a slip. Go to your Dr., get some Fluid out and anti nausea meds.

Just don't!!! Vomiting is the main cause of slips. I have only vomited twice since surgery in January and just found out today I have a slip.

Remember though, vomiting is NOT the same thing as regurgitation or PB (productive burp).

If you get nauseous, call your surgeon immediately. He'll likely remove the Fluid from the band temporarily and give you something for nausea. If the band is empty, it's less likely to cause a slip when you vomit.
