High Bp But Not On Perscription Meds

Recommended Posts

So I have not gone to my 1st consult yet, but I know that I'm just barely above the 35 BMI... I am Hypothyroid and on Meds for that, I also have High BP but I'm not on an Rx for that... Does it still count as a co-morb?

Thanks in advance!!

If your primary care doctor is willing to say it's a problem? Then yes, it could be a co-morbidity. However, that's only if your doctor is will say it is and your specific insurance counts it as one.

Not all insurance is the same and they even have different things they're consider a co-morbidity.

You should speak to your surgeon's insurance coordinator to find out what counts as one for yours.
