marketingdude 79 Posted October 25, 2012 This is the second day in a row this has happened. Perhaps a pattern is emerging. This morning I went for a nice walk with my wife (drinking some coffee as I walked) then we came home and I had a very small can of cream of mushroom Soup and a small can of Tomato Soup (500 calories total) and then all of a sudden I crashed on the couch. I never really got tired before and I'm thinking its either I'm not eating as much as before so my brain is telling me to slow down or the carb heavy soups is causing me to crash. I take my Vitamins everyday as well as take plenty of Protein via shakes in the afternoon. P.S. Also, my thighs became REALLY ITCHY during our walk this morning. Because I used to run 15 miles per week, I remember my legs getting very itchy when I used to run a lot. But now....its happening by only walking one mile. I'm wondering if I'm still exerting a lot of energy when considering that I'm eating a lot less. Hence, perhaps this is why I'm very itchy in the thighs when only walking a mile. Just a theory though...not sure. Any thoughts or opinions?
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted October 25, 2012 I would try doing a Protein Shake in the morning. Start your day with Protein boost. Are you getting all your Water in? 1 marketingdude reacted to this
marketingdude 79 Posted October 25, 2012 I would try doing a Protein shake in the morning. Start your day with Protein boost. Are you getting all your Water in? That is a good idea. Instead of starting with cream "carb based" Soups, I'll start my day with protein ! P.S. And yes...plenty of fluids and Water Thanks Sis 1 kyrasgrandma reacted to this
marketingdude 79 Posted October 25, 2012 Any thoughts on about my itchiness in my thighs? I mean...they were REALLY ITCHY...and I thought that was strange because this only happened when I exerted a lot of energy after running long distances. Thoughts? Just have to watch the temperature with the Unjury because high heat makes it clump up. 1 marketingdude reacted to this

I am a very itchy person, so I sympathize. How was the temperature outside? Hot, warm, cold? Are you taking any new medications (pruritis might be a side effect)? Using any new laundry products? New bath soap? 1 marketingdude reacted to this
Jean McMillan 2,973 Posted October 25, 2012 If you can stay awake after you take it, you could try taking a Benadryl before your next walk.

Are you taking any new medications (pruritis might be a side effect)? Using any new laundry products? New bath soap? Typically grey cloudy fall weather in Illinois. Not too cold for me...but a tad little brisk was in the air. But what was striking is that it was the same type of itchiness that I got after running 5 miles. Then my mind was trying to find out why (I know that is dangerous sometimes ) The only thing I could think of...is that I'm eating a lot less now and when I exorcize (albeit only walking a a mile) my body is interpreting that I'm exerting a lot of energy when I walk especially when taken into consideration my new caloric intake. Again....just thinking and trying to find out why my thighs were so darn itchy.
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted October 25, 2012 Dude, where in Illinois? I'm originally from Downers Grove. I'm like Jean, the queen of skin irritations. Never can figure some of them out. Benadryl is my friend. 1 marketingdude reacted to this
marketingdude 79 Posted October 25, 2012 Dude, where in Illinois? I'm originally from Downers Grove. I'm like Jean, the queen of skin irritations. Never can figure some of them out. Benadryl is my friend. By Peru, IL - about 1.5 hours south west of Downers Grove by Utica. The only thing about Benadryl is I've never had the case of itchiness and I have a strong sense that is not from using a fabric softner or some clothing irritant. I really believe it has to do with me exorcizing (e.g. walking) and my now decreased caloric intake. Just a hunch though .... It was just that strange...because it came out of no where and it was in both of my thighs at the same time I was walking. Just image running 5 miles....in a somewhat cold atmosphere (but not really cold) and all of a sudden your thighs started itching like crazy because of the blood flow......thats what it felt like....very strange ....seriously...it WAS THAT ITCHY
