LapBandit2013 162 Posted October 25, 2012 Hi there, I've been lurking on this site for a while and found all your posts invaluable while making my decision to take the plunge. I just scheduled my surgery for Jan 18th, with Dr Ortiz in Tijuana because I'm a self-pay. I'm super excited, but already having trouble with the pre-op diet. Also, I'm a nurse and a mother to a super active 4 year old and I'm so ready to get healthy and be a better role model. Also, would love to not restrict all my social activities wondering if I'm going to "fit" - literally and figuratively. Most of all, I don't want to die. So, here I am! I would love to make some connections here. 1 honorablebeauty reacted to this
wildrose1966 396 Posted October 25, 2012 Before you leave the country for surgery please make sure you have a dr in Seattle lined up for your aftercare or fills. I see alot on here these days that people go to Mexico and then have trouble receiving care upon their return. Good luck on your pre op and surgery.
Rojasanoll 920 Posted October 25, 2012 Start exercising by short walks and biking on good weather days. Try and eat leaner foods, you can use Protein shakes and lots of salad for positive weight control. Be patient on your weight loss, it took a long time to get out of shape and unhealthy. Be positive in all your actions and try and remember that a new You is about to begin. Chat with others who have gone to Mexico and had the surgery. Try and find out any helpful tips/processes that you have to do or should do. They have gone through it already. Best wishes and keep the Faith. Best wishes and Keep the Faith.
