nicolemm 24 Posted November 22, 2012 I start in one week, the 28th. My dr gave me a 1,000 calorie food based plan rather than then liquids though so I'm thankful for that!
Sheilam123 21 Posted November 22, 2012 Well, made it through day 3 of pre op diet. I get 2 or 3 Protein Shakes and one meal low carb. I've been doing the bsn lean desert Protein with Water and a splash of almond milk. To mix it up, my nut suggested a sprinkle of sugar pudding mix then blend with ice. Today did choc protein with banana cream pudding. Like drinking a banana split, YUM! dinner has been lean protein with lettuce and cheese. I have to say it hasn't been bad. I must keep in mind this is the first step in a journey and it won't be like this forever!!

Rn925 25 Posted November 22, 2012 Pre-op testing done, scheduled to meet with surgeon on Monday. But.....now I'm having doubts. I keep coming across these studies done on the complication rate of lap band. I'm more confused than ever
Sheilam123 21 Posted November 22, 2012 Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Day 4 of pre op diet under way. I had a shake for Breakfast and then only Turkey while the rest of the family had their big Thanksgiving meal. I survived, so anyone that's worried about doing this during the holiday can do it to. You've had this kind of food before, you know what it tastes like, you can have some next year. It will all be worth it!

NaNcyNiCoLe 94 Posted November 24, 2012 How was everyone's Thanksgiving dinner? I over ate as I expected I would. I felt like it was my last turkey dinner. I know the band doesn't change my way of eating so I am praying I will not mess this up
