DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 23, 2012 bread is the one thing I see people having problems with most often. I can, but I have to take very small bites, chew it like crazy, and pause between bites. In fact, I've only ever PB'd twice in 9 months and both times it was on bread. The toasting suggestion above is a good one. It helps many. 1 PattyGirl66 reacted to this

honk 780 Posted October 23, 2012 The only time I have trouble with bread is if it is cheap low quality. A higher quality and or whole grain bread is fine.

DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 23, 2012 Mis - did the PB happen after you had been filled? Yes, in fact the first time I ever PB'd was at Olive Garden on one of their breadsticks. It wasn't fun! It was about a week after the fill that put me into the Green Zone.
JulieC74 37 Posted October 23, 2012 Thanks y'all, I see it is a issue for most. Surgery June 4 down 34 lbs!
daisychains7 427 Posted October 23, 2012 I have not tried doughy, crusty breads. Rare occasions I have pizza, I rip the crust off. I'd rather not go there because I know my stomach will rebel! I have no problems with pitas (LOVE Joseph's brand), toast, crackers, or sandwich thins. I also have no problems with cakes or pie crusts.. unfortunately. lol
hopingtobebandedsoon 89 Posted October 23, 2012 Seems to be pretty normal for most, i cant eat bread anymore either!
neenee717 37 Posted October 23, 2012 Breads are the devil now!! I was a bread and Pasta junkie and cannot tolerate them. I promise you it's not worth feeling like your chest will explode or that stuck/ choking feeling. I had to suffer many a day/night til I left it alone. Don't need the carbs and empty cals anyway. I do tolerate Cereal well and can eat crackers within reason, corn chips, muffins and other dense stuff like that hurt too.
