Hik,

Would someone please explain to me how the buddy list and ignore lists work? Thanks!

I think I know what an ignore list is. Well, usually (at other forums that I have been a member of) a member on my ignore list can neither e-mail or PM me, plus I can't read his posts in the threads. Is that the way it is at LBT?

What is a buddy list? What does someone on by buddy list get to do that a member not on my buddy list can not do? I never had a buddy.

And what is a Journal Buddy list?

#1. Click on “User CP” at the upper left hand part of the page.

#2. On the New page that comes up below “User CP” count down four sections and you will see “Buddy / Ignore Lists”

#3. Click on “Buddy / Ignore Lists”.

#4. Add names to the Buddy List which should be in the middle of your screen and click the little box under the names.

Your buddy list just allows you to know when a person is on.

The Ignore list is for people that you dont wish to see on the board. You'll be unable to see their posts, and they'll be unable to Private Message you, just as such with a Instant Messenger.

hi

i tried this yesterday and i dont think it works either. it says to hit the "save" button but there isnt one.

when i hit the small box under buddy list...it merely resets the screen to be empty.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
