Thanks everyone! It feels good to be smaller, and to have it noticed :) And I still have 91 pounds to lose until I am at goal, so imagine the difference THAT will make!

It is slow going right now, but I haven't exactly been a "good" bandster lately. I haven't been able to do my walking like I should due to health reasons, and I have been eating some not so good for me things lately. I've been under some emotional stress and have been caving to the cravings

I am seriously considering doing a restart and going on a liquid diet for a few days, then a soft food diet for a few more days and actually measuring what I eat. I have gotten out of the habit of measuring and I need to get myself back into it. My dilemma right now is.... I am trying to cut back on smoking so I can quit, so should I try to do the liquid diet while quitting smoking? I am afraid that that will be too overwhelming. :( I hate that I got back into the habit of smoking when my mom died. I needed an outlet for the stress and it was either smoking or stress eating and I chose to smoke... Bad habits are bad habits....

So sorry to hear about your mom! Your progress thus far is inspiring! You know what works and you know what you can handle. It seems it is time to regroup, have a heart-to heart with yourself and your surgeon/Nut.

No back sliding allowed, not on our watch anyway! We are here for you for whatever you need!

You look good. I love your darker hair color. Don't beat yourself up to much. You fell off. Just pick yourself up and start again. It is never to late. Sorry about the loss of your mother. Maybe try yoga to reduce stress.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
