minkypop 2 Posted October 20, 2012 Hi, I was chewing gum and accidentally swallowed it. I have never had a fill. Should I go to the hospital?
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted October 20, 2012 well, try not to panic as that doesnt solve anything i am sure it is fine but if you can, give your dr a call if that eases your mind. ps, dont fart as you may blow a bubble 2 zinhaa and Nayelli Q. reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 20, 2012 Unless you're horribly stuck and vomiting (which I highly doubt you are) you're fine. 1 zinhaa reacted to this
elcee 3,342 Posted October 20, 2012 You don't sound as though it is stuck. Do you have a horrible pain in the centre of your chest? Are you salivating like crazy? Are you unable to swallow anything ,including Water, without it coming back up? No? Then relax it has probably gone down.
minkypop 2 Posted October 20, 2012 Ok... It most likely went down. I found sugar free gum, and my breath was kicking. I had a meeting and didn't want to knock them out. I'm in such a habit of swallowing gum, I did it out of habit, but didn't realize until it was too late

marfar7 1,533 Posted October 20, 2012 I agree. If you're not having pain, you're fine. I chew gum all the time, I have yet to swallow it tho. Marci
