Im heading to Zumba right now Love it!!! I am sure I will like it after surgery too as I start to loose :) .

I seen that on TV. I like going to the classes because it gets me out of the house and I have met people through the classes. Let us know how they are!!

Omg I am a zumba holic. I absolutely love zumba workouts. I do zumba dance 3 times a week and zumba santoe classes once a week. I also have the videos which are great. Also u can check out you tube videos. They are also fun to learn new routines.

Zumba is outstanding. I say go to the live classes. It's a party. Doesn't matter whether you can dance or not. You'll learn routines and nobody had time to watch you cause all are too busy trying to keep up. Videos are okay but it's nothing like the real deal. You can easily burn 500-700 calories in a 1 hr Zumba class. I promise you'll get addicted. I became an instructor after I was banded cause I fell in love with it

I LOVE Zumba! I go to class and I bought the one off TV. I prefer going to a class, but I use my Cd's when I can't get to a class and they are great!

I go to the classes and I have the Kinect video game version. The classes are more fun and easier to follow plus, I'm pretty competitive and I want to be the one who is spot on with my moves, lol I never am but it's fun to try. The video game has lame music, the classes have great new music, lots of Pitbull, love that guy. There's accountability with the classes because the people get to know you and if you miss a week they'll say, hey, where have you been?

The videos are good for learning the basic moves so you're not lost in a class.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
