There's a packet of powder you mix with a glass of Water that just has Vitamin C (which often can prevent colds) in it but the same company now also offers multi Vitamin or other supplements in the same packet of powder form.

Plus...in the same form (packet of powder, mix with water and drink), there's a packet designed by a school teacher for this exact purpose! It's called AirBorne. Google it! You can get lemonade flavored packets measured to mix with a small bottled water for convenience.

1 Airborne Packet equals:

1,000 mg of Vitamin C

High in Antioxidants (Vitamins A,C, and E)

Excellent Source of Zinc and Selenium

350 mg of Herbal Blend including Echinacea and Ginger

Good luck!

I think that those bubbles devolve the Vitamins but after sitting for a minute they are all gone. Swansons vitamins online also offer a bariatric line of liquid and chewables. Their other chewables are good too. Reasonable priced at top quality. I'd suggest some coq10 also.

If you let carbonated drinks sit out, they lose most of the carbonation.

Me too! Got my band in June, I've had strep, pneumonia and recently the shingles! But same as you I shipped my vitimans too, and every time I get the horrible pain in my arm from the shingles, I regret not taking them! So I've started taking them again!

Someone recently told me that Amway now offers some liquid vitamins. They come in a little plastic vial you snaps spout into a glass of Water. Has anyone tried them?

Argh...I wish I could edit a post if I spot typos after it's posted. Oh well :-)

Should have been, "They come in a little plastic vial you snap open into a glass of water."

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
