I was talking to a senior Banster who has been banded for 12 years. He said this regarding your hormones and sex as you loose fat cells:

"In your fat cells lay a lot of hormones especially testosterone. When the fat begins to melt off, testosterone is released causing a big spike in your sexual appetite."

I'm not a doctor....but I thought what he said was interesting. We shall see :)

Well, I see this is mostly ladies talking so I figured I would chime in for the fellas. I have lost 170+ pounds.... and sex is AMAZING!!! A totally different world. My wife is a smaller girl and she is amazed! Just another added benefit to a longer healthier lifestyle!

I'm not hungry And I'm not worried about work outs I just wanna get back in the bedroom. The night before surgery was a marathon just in case it'd be a while. Lol. I would be surprised if I made it thru the weekend

I was told to wait two weeks and we did because my hubby was scared of hurting me but we did at the two week point and it was fine just take it easy ur three weeks out I would say ur good to go certain positions are easier then others but soon enough u will be good for a marathon again lol I say do it just take it easy see what works best for u...with out getting into two much detail I recommend all fours with a pillow beneath u to support ur stomach that's what I found worked best....hope that wasn't tmi!!! Good luck and have fun;) just imagine the possibilities once the weight starts falling off that's what I'm looking forward too lol

I don't think you really HAVE to go into detail for an image to appear with that one! Lmao! Oh lawdy!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
