How are people with eating celery? I start mushies next week and like to add it in my tuna and chicken salads. The pieces would be very, very small as I would use my food processor to chop it.

I don't have a problem with celery, but you could peal the outside with a veg peeler. that would take a lot of the fiberous stringy stuff off. (But... oh how we need fiber)

I have no problems with celery. In the beginning I did put it in the mini food processor. Once I started on solids weeks into it, I was able to eat a whole stalk with lite creamcheese on it. Just make sure you chew very very good on this, if its stringy, pull the strings off just to be on the safe side, other than that you should have no problems at all!

Not salad with lettuce. Tuna/Chicken salad from a can of either meat, fat free mayo, and some seasonings.

This is a recipe for tuna Dressing off of food Network that might appeal to some of you. You can blend it to a thin consistency or leave it a little chunky as you prefer. Outrageously good...

Ingredients

1 (7-ounce) pouch albacore tuna

1/4 cup Mayonnaise

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon capers, with their juice

Pinch freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Place all of the ingredients into the bowl of a small food processor and process until creamy, 1 1/2 minutes. Serve as a salad dressing or a dip. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

I eat bananas every day...not sure why they would've been considered too fibrous. Celery I understand, bananas I don't.

I chop my celery very very tiny and I don't have a problem with it. I think that as long as the pieces are small you should be ok!

I eat bananas every day too! no problems at all. Hey here is an idea for those have a hard time with bananas, put a banana in a mini food processor, scoop into a little cup, freeze overnight. You got yourself a healthy frozen treat! You can also get creative with this and add other fruits, yogurts, etc...

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
