I just saw that announcement, too. I think it's the coolest!! We see testimonials all the time for products that sound too good to be true, and I always wonder how much the shiller was paid to say the lines. But this time we'll be able to believe the Wench when she speaks, because she's been sharing her story generously the whole way along.

CoffeeWench, our hero and inspiration! :D:P :P

Congratulations on being part of a wonderful ad. It's about time that the band was featured. Robin, congratulations! You look great.

Congrats, Robin!!! I love the ad - here's the direct link:

LapBand Commercial

I'm so glad Inamed is finally doing some advertising! I just sent out a long letter to a bunch of my friends telling them a little about my journey and the links to the commercial and Inamed's site. Hopefully it will help someone else one day, too.

I would never tell someone they should get the band - I'd feel terrible if they were one of the few that had complications or couldn't tolerate it, but I have no problems putting the info out there for them to make their own decisions! And I'll always be a "witness" for my band.

I love it!!

I just tested it and it worked fine for me. You should already have Quicktime installed on your computer, and someone else said also the newest MP4? Don't know about that...

Good luck!

This is a very old thread, and that link may just no longer be live. There's nothing wrong with your computers. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
