corona518 87 Posted November 10, 2012 I am two weeks post op and the scale has stopped moving:( I am only eating 900 calories a day and I just started walking again on the treadmill a couple of days ago. Did anyone else stop losing and then have it start again. It is discouraging when I feel like I am trying so hard and not seeing the payoff. I am still down 22 pounds which is great but ready to see more:) there is a great thread on carb cycling here by a woman whose status updates I follow (she's lost well over 100 lbs now). She said her scale stuck for weeks and she started this and cannot believe how well it has worked. Basically it is alternating days of carbs and no carbs but apparently it kicks your system into gear. I'm starting it this week! 1 ShellyBellyIowa reacted to this

I have a really awesome doctor and weight counsellor who answer every question I have so I'm glad to share the info. I also am a bit of a nerd and just love to find new ideas so I read an research what other people are doing. Here's hoping we are all a big success and I know that having everyone on here to talk with is a big help! Good luck with the exercise. I have been doing the elliptical for 30 mins 5 days a week since the week after my surgery and although the scale numbers aren't huge, I put on a pair of jeans today that used to be skin tight and they have so much room I needed a belt! Exercise is the key and I have so much energy now that I'm not eating so much...it's crazy. The band isn't a cure but it sure is my miracle. So glad that I did it! 3 ShellyBellyIowa, destynee1 and Fallbride reacted to this

Fallbride 35 Posted November 11, 2012 Hello everyone, I was banded on 10/12 and I am down 66 pounds so far. 20 were on my own between my first visit with the surgeon in July to the beginning of the pre-surg diet and 25 were from the pre-surg diet so I'm down 21lbs in the month since my surgery. Feeling terrific and was given permission to start exercising and swimming. Normally I'd have my first fill after 6 weeks but it falls on Thanksgiving. The surg said I could have it one week early. So happy about this since I am really starving each day but sticking to my soft food diet. Even did well with no power for 8 days due to Hurricane Sandy. Power's back and I'm feeling great! I did have my first "got stuck feeling" this morning. I was eating scrambled eggs and working on the computer. I was not paying attention to how fast I was eating and all of a sudden I got this tight feeling in my chest.. not fun! Not eager for that to happen again so I know I need to be more careful. 2 bandedsandi and ShellyBellyIowa reacted to this
mrscontarino 11 Posted November 11, 2012 Ok, so now I am getting frustrated....maybe I shouldn't get on the scale, but I am only down 11 pounds since my 10/18/12 surgery! I can tell I am losing inches, but I want to see the scale move! Is it because I am not eating enough? Drinking enough? Surgeon is happy with everything, but I just thought I would be further along... 1 Msbritt reacted to this
bandedsandi 29 Posted November 12, 2012 You have to drink a LOT of water! Remember, urinating is one of only three ways your body can expell the fat... So the more you drink Water, the quicker the scale will start moving! All the best! 1 destynee1 reacted to this

corona518 87 Posted November 12, 2012 First fill hit the exact right spot! Hungry every 3.5-4hours after a cup of food. Best feeling...well next to having put on jeans that used to be skin tight and having to put on a belt! 2 A. Monique SS and diamante reacted to this
andrealdaz 2 Posted November 12, 2012 Hi Everyone! Really glad I found this! I just got banded on the 13th of October and I'm still in my liquid diet phase. Not restricted to clear liquids' date=' just creamed Soups, smoothies and Protein Shakes. I"m STARVING but feeling really lucky I don't have pain and am not even on Tylenol and have been back at work since 2 days after surgery. I can't wait to move to mushy food - i"m sure i'll be sick of that diet by the end too, but seriously...my stomach needs something it can grab on to! Anyone else having itchy incision sites?[/quote'] Hello, How many pounds ave you lost so far?
