MiniMi 1,468 Posted October 29, 2012 Lol' date=' I'm starting to think that I need to eat something right before bed. I'm awake... And so is my tummy! It won't shut the heck up! I don't wanna eat until at least 6 or 7! Usually later! Lol, I'm starting to get more and more hunger during the day, I'm still keeping it together for the most part though. These nights are killing me though. I'm about to get my butt out of bed and hope a Jello cup will shut it up. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk[/quote'] I end my day with herbal tea. That is how I calm the beast! 2 lilbrigy and FallonB reacted to this
MiniMi 1,468 Posted October 29, 2012 Hi! First of all good on you for making the choice to change your life! Keep your wound clean 2 or 3 times a day and clean it off with alcohol rub or witch hazel! Any sort of antiseptic then let it dry off naturally once it's nice and dry put neosporin on it do this every morning and especially before you go to bed every night! You have Fluid build up which is normal you may have a slight infection in which your doctor will give you antibiotics the more the Fluid comes out the quicker you will heal! The fluid is your body trying to heal the wound don't be alarmed! It may also have small amounts of blood as well also nothing to worry about! Just keep your wound clean and try to get as much air on it as possible! Another tip is once your wound is fully healed and the scar is red start putting bio oil on it this will help with your scaring and any itching! I think by the time you get to your Dr you will be in good shape! Keep us updated and welcome to your new journey on this path called life!! Well done for jumping on the band wagon! Are you a doctor? Or a nurse maybe? 1 FallonB reacted to this
tpenny90 6 Posted October 29, 2012 Hello! I banded on 24 Oct. I am still experiencing nausea and pain on my left side. I have stuck to diet and not deviated at all. I think I underestimated the recovery time on this. I've lost 11 lbs , but I think it's because I'm not eating much because I am always nauseous

tpenny90 6 Posted October 29, 2012 The Dr said I am probably walking too much :/. He told me to cut back to lessen up on the pain. I am on pain meds and anti nausea but I'm not a big fan of feeling out of it. So, just trudging through for now ....
tpenny90 6 Posted October 29, 2012 I was just thinking. I've read about others who have their abdomen wrapped. I wasn't given that option. I wonder if it would help with my left side port pain. When I walk, I sometimes feel better if I hold my side.
Jessica Campbell 42 Posted October 29, 2012 I'm with you, a lot of pain at the port site I press a pillow against the area when I move and that's helping but I still can't lay down. I've been sleeping in a recliner. Can't wait till I feel normal again! 1 destynee1 reacted to this
tpenny90 6 Posted October 29, 2012 I hear ya! If I ever hear someone say that lapband is the easy way out is gonna get popped in the mouth. This is not easy. It's one of the hardest things I've done. I can't wait to feel normal again.... 4 lee72, bandedsandi, destynee1 and 1 other reacted to this
