I'm having to make myself drink broth even though I'm not hungry, just need to gain strength... I can walk around just fine...

MiniMi 1,468 Posted October 19, 2012 10 Days until I am banded. What's a few things I should bring with me? Any advice? Chapstick, listerine strips. Hopefully you'll be home in a few hours after surgery so make sure you have gasX and heating pad ready. 1 FatGirlFitGirl reacted to this

soreadynow 36 Posted October 19, 2012 I just have to say today I was allowed to start having mushies so I decided I was going to have some oatmeal. I mixed it with my Protein Powder and some skim milk. Can I say it was sooooo awesome. 1 Fallbride reacted to this
Mara005 70 Posted October 19, 2012 10 Days until I am banded. What's a few things I should bring with me? Any advice? I had to stay overnight so I loved having my own slippers along with some very loose pants to put under my hospital gown. I also brought something to do before surgery, I was there at 8:30 but didn't go in for surgery until noon (something happend in the surgery before mine). FallonB 102 Posted October 19, 2012 10 Days until I am banded. What's a few things I should bring with me? Any advice? I wrote a blog entry about my experience with my surgery last week if you would like to read it. I'm pretty sure that I list the items that I brought along to the hospital as well. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/blog/7154-my-band-journey/ You have to add me as a friend to view it, but that's just one click. Mistywater35 26 Posted October 20, 2012 I was banded on Thursday, came home from the hospital today. I hadn't eaten anythig and I am up about 9 lbs? I was on an intevenous for the whole time with fluids could this be it? anyones have this happen. I think I saw this on another.
NYTeacher 43 Posted October 20, 2012 I was seven pounds heavier coming home from the hospital. I googled it, and it's apparently a reaction to the IV fluids and the body's healing process.
