SashaWLS 412 Posted October 15, 2012 Had a sip of grapefruit juice 1/2 hour ago (cool, not cold) and have been feeling pain ever since. Tried a sip of coffee and I'm sliming and gurgling like crazy, and it also hurts a little... Is this normal? I had a fill on Friday and am not sure if this is just 'the new normal' for me, or if I'm too tight. I'm really uncomfortable...
Sojourner 2,446 Posted October 15, 2012 Sliming would never be considered to be "normal"...citrus juice and coffee are both known stomach irritants. I would try a Protein shake; if the pain and/or sliming continues, call your surgeon.
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 15, 2012 If you're sliming and gurgling just drinking liquids, my guess would be you're too tight. That's not normal. I'd give your surgeon a call.
SashaWLS 412 Posted October 15, 2012 Even in the morning? I have to say I think you're right. I was able to get down a glass of hot Water, but I'm very hungry and want to eat something. I just took one sip of Tomato Soup and I'm gurgling... I don't see how it would be possible to eat something cold at this point...
jennifer1 180 Posted October 15, 2012 I hate when I had that gurgling noise. Definitely a sign that you may be too tight. I would go back to your doctor.
SashaWLS 412 Posted October 15, 2012 UPDATE - I had .25cc removed and I feel 1000000000x better!!!!!! It's amazing that a teeny amount like that can make the difference between pain or no pain, eating or no eating, drinking or no drinking... I feel like I can have anything now! I mean, I can't gulp liquids because they back up, but it doesn't HURT. I just have to wait a sec till it clears. Very different than this morning where it really hurt to have a sip of juice and I couldn't even drink coffee.< /p>
