brittmarco 6 Posted October 14, 2012 So I was banded in 2008 in Mexico. The first few months were ok I had 2 fills and I went from 260's to the 220's. Than all of the drug wars started and I was to scared to go back to TJ for more fills. I have stayed in the 220s until this May when I had an emergency appendectomy where the surgeon removed all the Fluid. I have gained almost 20 lbs. I need some support to get back on track. I think I finally understand the I need to do the work..
Cazzy 725 Posted October 14, 2012 Maybe try and find a fill doctor nearer to you if u dont want to go back to mexico. The band can be hard work if u dont have the correct amount of fill, and that amount varies for everyone but as you had all your Fluid removed u need to start on getting some fills soon otherwise its just another diet you will have to do good luck ! 1 2muchfun reacted to this
ElleG 394 Posted October 14, 2012 I would find a great doc in the states close to you so you can continue tour weight loss. You haven't failed, this is just a hurdle. Best wishes 1 JennaSoto reacted to this

A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted October 14, 2012 For starters, I agree w/ others that you need to find a local doctor to get refilled. Without that, you aren't getting the benefit of the band. Second, I would suggest using myfitnesspal.com (or download the smartphone app) and start tracking your food intake and calories. You should keep it between 1000-1200 calories. By logging your food you can start to see what you are actually taking in and get back on track that way. I applaud you for taking ownership of you needing to do the work and for reaching out to get back on track before even more months and pounds went by. You CAN do this! Best wishes to you!
