jtrek 0 Posted April 5, 2006 I had a hernia occur right after my gallbladder surgery. It came up about 2.5 months after the surgery. The doctor called it an incisional hernia. I had to have it fixed. My doctor also told me this occurs alot with abdominal surgery. Maybe your small bump above your port is not hernia, maybe your tubing buckled/kinked like mine did. It caused a small bump above the port area too. Doctor thought the port had moved, but when she got in it was the tube. She fixed it and said it shouldn't happen again. Please keep us posted as to what your doctor found.
