Abdominal pain of 3/10 at incision but bearable. Not much gas. My fear of anesthesia and intubation were my obstacle. Happy to be home. Sip. Walk. Allison.birch 15 Posted October 11, 2012 I was banded yesterday too! The worst part for me was the shoulder pain from gas. I also had a hard time sleeping last night because I can't sleep on my back. Good luck! 2 kyrasgrandma and AnnLouise reacted to this

soccermonster31 8 Posted October 11, 2012 Congrats!!! I have had my Realize band for almost a year (banded 10.26.2011). It may seem hard at first, but the pain will eventually subside and you will start to learn all about how to live your new life. It takes some adjusting, but for me has been worth every moment! This website really helped me get through the first few months. So take advantage of all the experiences people share. 2 AnnLouise and Stephanie9278 reacted to this

lexx 20 Posted October 12, 2012 I had an option either the allergen band or the realize band! Ask your surgeon I'm sure you have the option!
NWgirl 574 Posted October 12, 2012 Can u request which brand band u want? I don't want the realize band can I tell my surgeon that? Some surgeons do both, most do one or the other. My surgeon only uses the allergen band.
clw126 15 Posted October 12, 2012 I thought I was getting the lap band and came out with a realize band. I was assured that it makes no difference.
