wildrose1966 396 Posted October 9, 2012 Can you tell I am getting closer to my maintenance eating plan - stage 4 tomorrow for 10 days, soft foods (add a banana, that is great), ground meats, crackers etc. I was wondering when it comes time that you can have a sandwich or a wrap do you just take a bit and chew, or do you cut up your sandwiches (burgers/wraps etc)........how do you eat them. (besides with your mouth and teeth for those smart a$$es out there ) I know crazy question, but I am sure others are wondering, as we are always told small portions and chew. ♕ajtexas♕ 3,771 Posted October 9, 2012 I eat sandwiches and wraps by taking bites, however I had to learn how to take small bites. The safer approach would be cutting the bites up on the plate first. You are going to find alot of different answers including bandsters who don't/can't eat bread.< /p> 1 Terri_121 reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 9, 2012 It depends on the sandwich. If it's a moderate sized, say on flat bread or pita bread, I take small bites. If it's a bigger sandwich, say a melt, then I use a fork and knife to eat it.
GuyMontag 1,264 Posted October 9, 2012 I generally can't eat sandwiches unless I toast the bread and flatten it to get air pockets out.
A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted October 9, 2012 I take small bites and wait in between bites. Also, by eating slower I am full before being able to finish it.

elcee 3,341 Posted October 9, 2012 Generally toasted bread is easier to eat than untoasted. Try making a toasted , open sandwich, use grainy bread and eat that with a knife and fork. If you want a wrap I would suggest that you nibble at it rather than take bites. Eat very slowly and stop if you have any discomfort.
