I would speak with your doctor. They might want you to stay under a spec. calorie/carb level.

The doc only told me have Optifast nothing else so 1 or 2 bags wont hurt would it? This is very low calorie right? Im 6 days away from surgeory and trying so hard to stick with this.

Its not really cause i cant eat anything but im always starving

They told me to have 5 a day. Each box is 160 calories

I had the Optifast powder (optifast 900 it was called). 225 calories per serving. My instructions were 4 per day. Every dr does it differently.

What are some calorie free fluids besides tea and coffee?

Pre op and immediatly post op you shouldn't be drinking caffine, make sure your tea and coffee are decafinated. Crystal Lite, Mio can be added to your Water. Water with Lemon, water, water, water.

Oh wow i read the label wrong, replace each meal with 3 packets of Optifast. I thought it was 3 a day.

3 packets for one meal equals to like 9 servings of Optifast though. I should just stick to 5 then

Its called Optifast VLCD

And also i think the american brands are different, Optifast vlcd only seems to be on the aus site.

If you google Optifast vlcd you can read more information online. It does suggest 3 Optifast + 2 c veggies+ 2L of Water +1 tsp of oil per day.............for the intensive phase. After that phase you start adding food.
