Hello I'm new here. I have been banded for alittle over 4 years. I had been doing great, lost 50kg felt great. Then started vomitting and found band slipped. Had a new band put in around 4 months ago. Have had fill put in but have no restriction then get a tiny bit put in and I'm too full. I have regain 15kg and feel completely out of control with my eating. I'm eating junk all the time but it's like I just can't stop myself. In 7 weeks I've put on 5 kg and feel really embarrassed to go see my surgeon. Don't know what to do. I don't want to gain all the weight back

I think you should go back to 4 yr ago when you first got your band and start at the beginning. Measure 1cup of food, Protein first, veggies & still have room good carbs. Eat slowly, chew, chew chew.

Get in plenty of Water (not with meal).

You really know what to do, stop eating junk!

There's an excellent article on this forum in the LB thread labeled LBT Magazine.

called Wantpower. You should read it.

Best Wishes on the beginning of your rejourney!

your words...***'m eating junk all the time but it's like I just can't stop myself.***

yes you can if you want to. use your want power and not rely on (things like i cant stop myself). is those foods you are eating (that you say is junk) are they forcing you to eat them? are they putting a sugar bowl to your head and saying eat me?? no, they are not. take charge of yourself. do what you know is right. stop eating at 1 cup of food. Protein first (3-4 oz) then some veggies and maybe a fruit. and drink (alot) to help curb so called hunger and keep you hydrated. if you want to lose weight (and you do as you had the surgery) and went through hell to get it done...then do something about it. start right now. clean slate. dont worry about what is done. that is gone. elvis is not coming back.

make it happen. (this forum, we got your back).

I know that feeling that is how I got here. there are no majic words to make it stop. empty the house of the bad food, get a plan, go one meal at a time. see your doctor. Get some tastie things to drink I am enjoying snapple right now and make it a reward for eatting that meal the right way, good portions, chew, chew chew, take the full 20 mintues. pack things you can have when leaving the house Water snapple and a quick meal incase you are out longer then you thought you dont want to set yourself up to stop somewhere to eat. Plan for success remeber every meal is a restart--there is no failure get back to exericing like you did before. look a picture righ after you lostt it all.

let us know how you are doing we have all been there and now we are togther to help.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
