Hair Loss! Help'

Recommended Posts

Not me, but the standard advice for post-op Hair loss is to increase Protein intake and/or take a Biotin supplement.

Increasing fluids, HEALTHY hair SKIN AN NAILS plus ESSENTIAL 1(both sold by ProLabs online) Really worked, after trying 8 others that did nothing i noticed a Big stop in the amount of hair in my brush! THEN

Also, keep track if exact amouts of protein! Protein Shots are Super easy to have in a pinch! EVEN LESS Hair loss Your dr. Should check your B levels, and thyroid (or) hormones (if this stuff isnt helping), unfortunately the added stress of surgery+ the type of any WLS, and weight loss (combined with EVEN PERIMENOPAUSE) can Greatly increase hair thining or loss that otherwise (or minus) one or more if these (stressors) on the body one may not have noticed! PPHYTO B (is a super healthy sublingual suppliment)that helps with mild hormone peri menopause, and/or full blown changes you may need to ask your doctir about bio identical hormone replacement risks vs benefits, or add progesterone 21 days a month/ and or DHEA. FINALLY NO MORE HAIRLOSS AT ALL Add now it has begun TO TOTALLY SHINE AGAIN AND GROWING BACK!!!!! Of course These areas may not apply to the majority with hair loss, but anyone with a family history of early menopause, or long ten year peri menopause, SHOULD check on ALL areas! BEST TO KNOW! I found out rather late after almost 6 months of false assumptions hair loss was normal and all but requiring a wig, when then the same doctors FINALLY took me serious. Good luck!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
