LaVkay 0 Posted October 8, 2012 Hi:) this is my 6 day after lap band surgery. I'm still on liquid diet but I don't feel physically hungry but would like to eat on a mental level. I feel full after drinking. Do you?
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted October 8, 2012 I am starving and newly banded. I have only had Soups and broths. Is there a way to have too much Soup? Will I know? the soup slides straight down to the stomach so it would be lie you got full normally. It doesn't sit in your new baby stomach. The beginning stage after surgery tests your will power... Just knowing this will help you get through it. 2 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Mayasgram 351 Posted October 8, 2012 I personally was not hungry physically after surgery, but boy did I miss that party in my mouth. You know the taste the texture... But frankly I has waited so long 18 monthes for insurance on a one year supervised diet by insurance, and a Dr change that there is just no way I was eating one thing t hat was not on my list. And so it began, that road to healthy eating, doing what I was told , and how I was told to do it. Because my rebellious way sure had not worked for me, thats why I needed the lapband. I believe 80% of our hunger comes from our mind and 20% from our stomach. And when we learned to listen to the 20% we really get a handle on this food thing. And in the end that is what will get you to your goal weight . It's tough some folks call it bander hell the real battle is with your mind because you can do great on very little food especially when you have a lot to lose in the begining. Best of Luck you are not alone.. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
choochford 9 Posted October 8, 2012 I had my band put in on the 4th and I have noticed if I drink it leaves me unfulfilled but if I grab a yogurt, creme of wheat or oatmeal I feel full and don't have those hunger feelings. I do miss some of the foods I like. I have been on the liquid longer then most because of my size.
