I don;t think, not drinking Water will lossen the band. The drinking of the 8 glasses of water a day will help you lose weight.

Drinking Water is important as it helps so you can poop and not be constipated.

Not drinking enough fluids actually makes my band tighter. Worse than that is that it makes stools like cement. Without enough fluids, the colon cannot do its' job, which makes passing stools painful and can cause hemorrhoids. I used to get enough (barely, I was always chronically dehydrated before surgery) Fluid from foods so this wasn't an issue, but now, since I'm not eating much, I really pay if I don't choke down the liquids!

I have been dehydrated and in the hospital a couple of times it is so important to drink all your Water

It is so very dangerous getting dehydrated. It affects your heart, your kidneys, etc., on and on plus making your skin look old before it should. Think baseball mit. Carry a water bottle where ever you are, they have small ones easy to carry in your purse. If your home keep one near and keep sipping. Takes away those cravings if you have them, and who doesn't have those! Keeping track of how much you drink each day is the first real "control" you have in starting over, in your life. It's a starting point. Just start for one day controlling that. Then add something else in a day or two that YOU have control and go from that. It is empowering.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
