Kaylaspence93 6 Posted October 7, 2012 I'm Currently Trying The Campbell's Soup But Just Draining The Noodles And Things Out, But I'm Also Suffering With BAD Pain Feels Like Gas, And I'm Afraid it May Be Coming From The Campbell's Soup. What Do You Think?!
MiniMi 1,468 Posted October 7, 2012 I love the individual broth packets that you can get from Trader Joes. Low in sodium and sugar. I had my lap band on Friday- oct 5. Those gas pains are from all the air they pump into you. They are very annoying. Even Vicodin doesn't relieve the discomfort.
Kaylaspence93 6 Posted October 7, 2012 i Had My Surgery On Friday, October 5 As Well, And These Gas Pains Are NO JOKE!! i Can Hardly Sit Up in The Bed. My Overall Goal Right Now is To Burp, Which i Haven't Done Since Before Surgery. Lol.

line-dancer 810 Posted October 7, 2012 Gas x, a good laxitive and a heating pad does the trick as soon as you have a BM you will feel much better its like any other other surgery you need to get the colon working, and walk a around the room several times a day that willl help I made a big pot of home made chicken broth b4 surgery then I had that and cream soups(made with water) it was good. Lose 7 lbs the first 3 days post-op. line-dancer
Sojourner 2,446 Posted October 7, 2012 I've used the Swanson brand of broths. They come in several flavors, they also make a low sodium version and are 99% FF. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and MiniMi reacted to this
honk 780 Posted October 7, 2012 I preferred stock has more flavor. When I got more desperate for real foods I switched to straining Campbells Soup. I would'nt bother with low salt broth your food choices are boring enough. During full liquids I added Mrs Dash salt free flavorings to Soups before heating to up the flavor. If you have hypertension or issues with renal function, you should not load up on sodium, as per my PCP's instructions...and if you read the nutrition labels some of those sodium content numbers are astronomical... 1 Maddysgram reacted to this

Can't wait until in gets cooler in FL & I can make all my Soups. When I'm on mushies I plan on blending them. I know they will taste good.
zinhaa 363 Posted October 7, 2012 Make your own chicken or beef or veggie then you can control the sodium 2 Maddysgram and MiniMi reacted to this
