Morganjm 5 Posted October 3, 2012 Is there any kind of bread or flat bread or pita or something to use for a sandwich that is lapband friendly or dont dough up???
swaffson 0 Posted October 3, 2012 You might find crackers will work. After a while however you won't muss the bread.< /p>
Kime-lou 648 Posted October 3, 2012 I use whole wheat pita pockets. I cut the big circle in half and stuff one half with whatever I want on it. Me and my husband have learned to love them. Since we like sandwiches for lunch it's great. I find them in the deli section of the Walmart where I live. I still have to chew well and eat slow, but I haven't had any trouble. I told my nutritionist I was eating those yesterday and she said that was great. That the band isn't about giving up foods it's about moderation of food, however some people find some foods unfriendly. But, for now the pita pockets are my friend. 1 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
honk 780 Posted October 3, 2012 I make a sand which using romaine lettuce leaves instead of bread. Put meat down the spine and fold the sides over. 2 Morganjm and norcalgirl211 reacted to this
jen_1381 446 Posted October 3, 2012 I found that the Sandwich Thins, Pita bread, or Tortillas are my safest bet. Now that I'm at/near the Green Zone, regular bread doesn't go down as well. 2 Angelizz10 and norcalgirl211 reacted to this
A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted October 3, 2012 For me, corn tortillas (50 cal ea) or if I toast the bread that seems to work. I am actually glad that bread doesn't go down well as it is a huge weakness for me. 1 norcalgirl211 reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 3, 2012 I find flat bread works well. I can still have normal whole grain wheat bread so long as I take really small bites and eat it later in the day when my band is looser. I've even hadate a sandwich with a knife and fork because it's easier to take small bites that way. 1 norcalgirl211 reacted to this
Morganjm 5 Posted October 4, 2012 Thank you all for the great ideas. I will have to try these. I dont have sandwich very often, but it would be nice with ham or tuna salad.< /p>
