chilet071 255 Posted October 3, 2012 I am so excited... I didnt use my insurance coz it is so ridiculous... I have to pay $5000 + 20% of the surgery that would total to $7000... The surgery is only $9988. So, i have decided to just pay it n my own and use the bariatric surgery some other time if I need to do the gastric bypass which I doubt. I am very excited! I don have to go in so many hoops if i go with my insurance. Government insurance sucks ... I wish they have better plans someday! 1 Baltimore2012 reacted to this
Baltimore2012 34 Posted October 3, 2012 Congrats! I should be having my surgery around Nov 5th... I am very excited as well! I am a cash patient too. My insurance just flat out doesn't pay a penny. Humana sucks! Good luck! Carrie

Baltimore2012 34 Posted October 5, 2012 Petrified! My doctor gave me paperwork that said this surgery is less dangerous than having your gallbladder out! So that's promising! I more scared of after the surgery! Just learning what i can and can't eat, pain, just the unknown! Post-op diet...too! I think the surgery will be the easy part. Nette Fosters 41 Posted October 27, 2012 Sending you all hugs! I'm so excited for you all. This will be an incredible opportunity to create the health and life you want. Warning: unsolicited advice ahead. Feel free to ignore :-) ********************************************************** The band doesn't do it all; it's a tool that you have to use correctly. When I drink my Water and eat small portions of healthy food, I lose excess fat. When I eat ice cream as a meal and drink Venti frappacinos all the time, I don't lose weight. I was so stubborn I had to test that even though its so obvious :-) But the band is like my patient, loyal, hardworking friend. It reminds me not to over eat. It helps me feel full with smaller portions. And it doesn't give up on me. 1 Starshine33 reacted to this
