Post Op Plateau After Pregnancy - Question About Flouroscopy Fills

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just joined this site tonight but have been reading it from time to time for a while now. I'm hoping by joining it will hold me more accountable and give me some motivation. I had my LapBand surgery 4.5 years ago and lost 83 lbs but didn't quite get down to my goal weight. Then, I got pregnant and my doctor took out a good amount of Fluid. Needless to say, between being pregnant and going a bit crazy after being restricted for so long, I still need to lose 42 lbs. to get back to where I was pre-pregnancy and I still have another 45 lbs. to go after that to get down to my goal weight (i.e. I have 87 lbs. to go!). I've been at a plateau pretty much since my son was born 7 months ago. I just moved to a new city and started with a new doctor. He's going to do my first fluoroscopy fill in a week. I'm a little nervous because I've never had a fluroscopy fill before and I'm not sure what to expect. Also, now that my insurance doesn't cover my fills, including flouroscopy, I'm a little concerned that I'll keep having to go back and get fills and unfills to get back in the green zone, as apparently I can eat too much right now. Has any one had much experience with flouroscopy fills and are they pretty accurate? Or, did you have to go back a few times to get into the green zone? Any insight anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
