JJ&E 11 Posted September 30, 2012 Ok, so i have never actually put meat in a blendar and then ate (drank?) it. Please tell me you eat it.... Anyhow, what are the best meats to blend and what should they be blended with? I assume they should be cooked first, then blended with some form of liquid or sauce. but maybe not? Need some ideas here. thanks.
Sarah75 67 Posted September 30, 2012 I put chicken and turkey in my chopper and added broth or a light mayo...my dr said he allowed the mayo cause it was such a small amount..i made it a lot thinner then pre-band of course.
elcee 3,341 Posted September 30, 2012 The thought of baby food style meat was just too horrible. For mushies I ate things like tuna, ground beef etc - things that could be mashed with a fork - oh and lots of veg. 1 Maddysgram reacted to this

wildrose1966 396 Posted September 30, 2012 So my next food stage is pureed and blenderized.......it says I can have cooked blended meats. (I do not eat fish or seafood). Ground beef, chicken, turkey are not introduced until the stage after this one. So I am guessing this is like a smooth chicken salad. (I was so excited to move to the next stage - not so much any more) The next stage also incudes blenderized Wendy's chili, hummus, refried Beans - low fat, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes etc............. Guess I can look forward to the Soft/Moist Stage...........it has been a month of liquids, what is another 7 days.

lich7410 2 Posted October 14, 2012 My favorite mushy food was healthy choice cream of chicken Soup and I would add some ground chicken into it...delicious!
wildrose1966 396 Posted October 14, 2012 I bought a rotissere chicken and yes put it in the magic bullet - not for long. I did about 3oz of meat, 1/2 oz on cheese and a few teaspoons of chicken gravy.........gave that thing a whirl and at the time after over a month of liquids, it was pretty awesome. I remember my first meal I just sat there smiling. Having said that, it is the consistancy of thick Peanut Butter and you don't really chew it, but it is not liquid and it tastes like chicken and was oh so good. honk 780 Posted October 14, 2012 For mushies I had low fat cottage and ricotta cheese (add smooth spagetti sauce for a pastafree lasagna). Had canned chicken and tuna with low fat laughing cow cheese mixed in, which you can microwave. Also for mushies I used a stick blender to mince the fruit in Greek yogurt (which has twice the Protein of regular yogurt).
Toya2012 0 Posted October 15, 2012 I just had the lapband done on the 11th of this month and I am SO tired of chicken broth. I am so ready for the mushy stage (lol). Does anyone have any recommendation on what to eat? I heard I can have mash potatos and gravy but what else can I enjoy?
PattyGirl66 1,243 Posted October 15, 2012 My favorite mushy foods: Part skim ricottia cheese, topped with Tomato sauce and grated parmasagne cheese. Nuke it up in the microwave . taste like a noodleless lasagne. Canned tuna (white albacore in water) 2 oz. mixed with 1 wedge of laughing cow lite cheese Refried Beans ( 2 oz.) topped with shredded reduced fat yellow cheese, dopple of lite sour cream - in the microwave - mmmm Fresh avacado (2-3 oz) topped with Mango Salsa ahhh, there are just so many things you can do with mushy...... 2 nishak and smbonier reacted to this
