I'm wondering the same thing??? If it's foods that I can't tolerate, after 3 yrs, it's not much. I can eat pretty much everything - cept pizza crust and pineapple chunks (which is my fav food, but for some reason they make me vomit no matter how tiny of a bite I take and how slowly I eat them). If that's not what gauged food is, then sorry :(

gauged foods are foods that give you a fuller sensation after eating them rice, pastas, and bread, even though they can give you the same sensation are not considered gauged foods. i'm not sure about potatoes. i'm sure they are looking for Protein foods. like refried Beans or chicken or fish etc. fish is not a gauged food for me at all! maybe now with LB it will be.

Never heard of that terminology. chicken fills me up.

I know it's weird right?! I haven't heard it before either. But he gave me a little hand out talking about it so I know I am not crazy! lol It just give you any ideas of what to try. just that i need to measure my meals 1 cup at a time. and find out what fills me up

I've never heard of gauged food either, hm. I'm not suppose to eat Pasta and rice but pretty much eat healthy foods like chicken, fish, lean ground beef like in chili, canned chicken in chicken salad, pulled pork (I know not healthy huh?) But I'm a southern girl but generally I eat healthy or try too at least. I do eat potatoes mashed or baked and haven't had a prob, not too much of it tho as it is carbs and starches.

I eat a lot of fish, a lot!!!, a bowl of Beans, chicken salad some days for lunch, a small cheese quesadilla with low fat cheese, cottage cheese, today my mom and I had lunch at Red Lobster and we shared a lunch portion of fried flounder and I had one piece of fish and 2 bites of baked potato and 4 bites of salad, the piece of fish was small and for dinner I had a half of bowl of pinto Beans. Sometimes I will eat an egg with toast and not able to eat all the toast, I am able to eat toast but not raw breads since my last fill. I eat meatloaf, Wendy's small chili when I'm craving chili and of course its getting cool here in western kentucky. That about sums up my diet, could be better and I could have lost more than 36.5 lbs since June 13th but I'm eating and learning to eat and living with my band and not feeling deprived.

love wendy's chili. It's probably higher in carbs then I like to think, but a good fast food option in my opinion.

I've been meaning to go inside and look at the nutrition value on the wall but its good source of Protein and low fat. I can barely eat the small serving, it's almost too much.

Mine is protine. I'll eat a turkey burger with out bread and it keeps me full for around 4-5 hours. Also I will make my own chili and use ground turkey breast and add kidney Beans and black beans and garbanzo beans... So it's packed full of protine! I've never actually added it up, but it's a good amount.

Never heard the term.. If I eat the correct portions of protein, veggies and startch Everything fills me up to be honest. I rarely eat bread. Rice doesn't seem to agree with my band. Chicken is fine but it doesn't fill me up any more then eggs or cheese. Interesting concept but I find that if I eat 3 oz of protein, 1/4 c startch and 1/2 cup veggies I am full at every meal.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
