Wgbem 138 Posted September 26, 2012 What should I be expecting? I feel weak? I hope I did not write this twice as all I can do is sleep. Is something wrong? Or is this normal.
Amber_banded052312 8 Posted September 26, 2012 if you are on pain meds, then you probably will just be tired. my dr told me to get up every 2 hours or so and walk. so my sister made sure that i did. what are you feeling? are you drinking anything? i spent most of my time either laying on the couch propped up with pillows or in a chair with a pillow in front of me. plus walking to help get that gas out of there. wildrose1966 396 Posted September 26, 2012 Try to get off the pain meds if you can, get some stool softener in you (seriously), walk around and get those liquids in. 2 days post op, you are still full of the drugs and anesthetic from the surgery, do what you can, but keep moving. Wgbem 138 Posted September 26, 2012 My doctor placed a Fentanyl patch for pain which stays on for 3 days. I gave pain medication but have not had to take it. I get up to go yo the bathroom but that is about all the strength I have. Trying to drink a little every hour but don't wAnt to drink too much and get nauseous. Perhaps because I also had a hernia repair is why I feel so bad.

Wgbem 138 Posted September 27, 2012 I am not sure why he did that but for me it was such a great move. I wasn't thinking about anything and prior to all this I was taking ibuprofen for bilateral knee pain. Having that coupled with abdominal pain would have been a mess. From that front I feel great. Summerrain 520 Posted September 27, 2012 Some doctors add Fluid, others don't. I had 4ml put in my band on day of surgery and because of that and small fills every two weeks from three weeks post op I've hit the green zone in just under three months. Yay!
