So it had been 5 months since I've been banded on April 25, 2012 and I've only lost 30lbs I feel I should have lost more. I only have 1cc in my band . I know I need to workout more. All I can do is try harder.

I also was banded in April and have 1 cc. I have lost 35 pounds. It is coming off slow but I think thats a good thing. We didn't gain it all overnight so how could we possible take it off quickly. I am just glad I am losing.

I am with Amber, but 5 months out, I have heard most people have at least 4cc depending on their hunger level.

I only ask because at 5 weeks post op i thought i was starving and have been on a search for the "green zone" ever since. everyone will move along at their own pace. it took me years to put on this weight and it will take time to get it off. this is why i chose the lap-band. i didnt want the "fast" route of bypass or sleeve. i wanted to give my body a chance to work down and use the lap-band as a tool not a quick fix. it really is all about learning to eat all over again. food used to be my comfort friend and now food can hurt me if i don't do it right. i used to go eat at my mom's favorite restaurants after she passed so that i could feel good. now i go and look at what i used to eat and think to myself "omg how in the world did you eat all of that"

i would say that you need a fill. i am 4 months out and lost 30lbs. i gained some in there when i had to have Fluid removed, but now back on track. i have roughly 5-6 cc in the band, but everyone is different. so you might only need another 1cc and be great. i would just listen to your body and be sure to go to the office once a month for a check in. you don't have to get a fill every time you go. you just need to check in so you keep on track.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
