lexx 20 Posted September 24, 2012 So for this of you who knew what was going on with my unsuccessful fills. I went to see my surgeon today for my first fill and he too could not get the middle of the port. So it has been 2 drives to the clinic and 8 pokes in the stomach. And nothing! The surgeon suggested I get an X-ray. He thinks the port may have flipped over! I burst ex in tears because I'm just so ready to get this weightloss started! I mean I had surgery 5 weeks ago today. Support is much needed here!
jeani81 93 Posted September 24, 2012 Hang in there. I would get the X-ray and see if that is the case. I know it's frustrating but try to be patient you'll get there
okiekatt 40 Posted September 24, 2012 if it makes you feel any better I went every 3 weeks for a fill for 7 months before they told me i had a leak and needed a second surgery ...... then I had to wait a month after the second surgery to get my first fill and then so....... long story short 1 year and 4 months after my first surgery I am now in the green zone lol hopefully that will make you feel better lol what I am really wanting to say is ...you will be there before you know it, stay strong and be patient .... so sorry you are having this bad experience tho I hate it when they have to dig around and I hope you will not have to have a second surgery
SageTracey 608 Posted September 24, 2012 Definitely go with the x-ray so your surgeon can see what is going on. My port had tilted at my last fill and it took two jabs for him to find my port. Not keen to go down that path again so do everything you can to find out exactly what is going on. Good luck.
lexx 20 Posted September 25, 2012 Thanks everyone! I didn't know what else to do buy cry! So I bawled like a baby! I mean I just excepted the fact I was actually going to loose weight! I mean this is it my year of transformation! And the possibility that I would need to do another surgery didn't sit well ( no pun intended) but I'm keeping my head up and keeping the food in check. The goal at the end of the day is still to loose weight!
